Sugars Lead to Depression





When we walk into a grocery store we always make our way down the sweets section or we'll by past and act like we don't see all the delicious sweets, and we can even smell them from the entries of the store. Our bodies crave certain foods and our tongues even have certain taste buds. Our tongue has a sweet, bitter, and even sour taste bud, but there are ways on beating the hunger for something sweet. What the world needs to know is that sugar is bad for our health unless we are physically active every single day for 90 minutes a day. What most people look at is the calories yes calories are good to know, but sugars are what put the love handles, that we all hate on our bodies that we love so much. Most weight that is put on are from sugars and by eliminating the amount of sugar from our diet can decrease the amount of extra fat we have on our stomach. When we drink a soda particularly a Dr. Pepper or a Coke, these drinks contain 56-70 grams of sugar which is high when it comes to a beverage that we consume. Other drinks like lemonade aren't good for us either, because they contain so much sugar. Everybody wants to say that it organic sugar or natural sugar. Okay that sound awesome, but our bodies can't recognize sugars, meaning sugar is sugar. But if we look at drinks that are naturally sweeten contain more sugar than a drink that isn't naturally sweeten. When we drink fruit drinks that are naturally sweeten we see that they contain a ton of sugar which most people don't see. For an example V8 Fusion is naturally sweeten, but it contains 65-72 grams of sugar. MyFoodDiary.com stated that, "Sugar the body energy...If a lot of sugar is eaten at one time, blood sugar levels can spike causing diabetes." So sugar gives the brain energy and is good for the red blood cells, but too much sugar will cause harm. We enjoy sweet foods just as our bodies do, but when it comes to a good diet, sugary food need to be eliminated. Makers will continue to buy sweet foods and even sugary drinks, because they sell and the profit is extremely high, but if the eyes of the public see that these drinks and foods that contain so much sugar are killing us, and the sugar is putting the love handles on us these products won’t be sold. As a result they’ll have to produce drinks and even foods that don’t contain so much sugar. Sugar taste so good and is good energy for the mind, but too much sugary will be the death of a person.

I've actually heard that sugar is kind of like a drug to day because it is literally in almost everything we eat so when you eat something that is actually healtyy for you tend to not feel good because you don't have the sugar. I also like that you provided information on products and show how bad they are. Also you provide a source that makes your post credible

  2. Just by reflecting a little bit on my diet I think I may be addicted to sugar. It is interesting that even drinks like lemonade are unhealthy, I would have thought the opposite! Thanks for the enlightenment!

  3. Two years ago I stopped drinking soda and eating ice cream. It was one of the hardest tasks that I've ever done but I wanted to prove to myself that I could give up something that I love eating. This sounds good but now I have an addiction to drinking mochas. So I gave up one sugar and replaced it with another. I'm not sure about depression because those mochas make me pretty happy until I have to pay for them.
