Waking up in the morning is a great feeling when the sun reflects off your face. When we walk into the restroom, clean our face, and brush our teeth we find ourselves looking at our bodies and sometimes we aren't happy. We'll turn to the left and right trying to suck in our stomachs to see how we would look a little thinner, but if that doesn't work our day doesn't start off great. We struggle to find a shirt that will fit without showing the love handles, but that only puts us into a depression. Most times we find ourselves wearing the same shirt we wore last week, because that shirt fits perfect. After we successfully found that shirt we then have to put on our pants which sometimes takes longer than the shirt, because we need to know what pants fits us right. After we find that right pair of pants we then head back to the mirror to see how we look, but its not a kool-aid smile. We'll have to settle for a bitter smile and hopefully the outside world will change our expressions. This shouldn't be a routine in our daily lives, because this will lead to depression and a unhealthy life. If we look into the mirror and we don't like what we see the result and thought should be to fix it. By changing our diets and increasing our water intake, and eliminate those sugary drinks we'll see change without working out in the gym. Working out in the gym will tone the body, but eating healthy will bring more years to our lives. By the right foods and not over eating, while being physically active will make our bodies happy and healthy. By making our bodies happy we'll become happy and we'll see how much we'll enjoy waking up in the morning. We'll wake up in the morning and looking for a shirt will get a little easier, and the only decisions we'll have to make is the color and will that match will those shoes. Pants will be a fast decision, because every pair of pants will start to fit and hug your body and/or sit on you right. Then the mirror won't have to tell you that you look good, because you already know that you look good before the mirror tells you. Smiling without the mirror shows that your happy with your body, and the mirror can only give you a compliment rather than showing the ugly side.

I enjoyed and could easily relate to this blog. I feel it is something everyone, women specifically, go though. In reading those first few lines I felt as though I was reading my own thoughts as I get ready for school every morning. However you are correct in saying that something needs to be done about it rather than wallowing in our sorrows. Sometimes those words of encouragement are all a person needs to read to get going. I feel this topic is something that everyone can learn from and I can appreciate your words on the matter.
ReplyDeleteWhat I've learned by losing weight and wearing the shirts I want to wear, and wearing the jeans I love is to stop eating and drinking what I love to eat. Everybody's favorite food is something that's unhealthy, and if we honestly stop eating our favorite food and or snack and replace it with water our waist lines will get smaller, and the pounds on the scale will continue to decline. Water cleans the system and allows our foods to digest faster. My goal in losing weight was to eat right and include the necessary foods that my body needs like fruits, vegetables, and water for a month with grilled chicken. After the month I started walking and running and the pounds started to shed fast. I went on ahead and lost 35 pounds in 2 months. By changing your eating habits and then working out (in that order) allows change in the body and then pounds will shred fast. This is because you calorie intake won't be 2 thousands it'll be around 18 hundred. Doing this will kill the pounds and kill all the unwanted fat on the body.
DeleteI think this post can be effective in motivating people to action. After all, we all have these feelings, but as Thanksgiving and Christmas come around, we're unwilling to make the sacrifices necessary to better out lives. By casting a vision of what life could be like after those sacrifices, I feel like you can reach people and motivate them to do what's necessary to achieve their goals.
ReplyDeleteThank you my aim is to let my audience know that getting fit and looking the way we want isn't hard. In my next post I will talk about how motivation makes us work harder. Stay tuned and looking out for that post
ReplyDeleteWater is KEY!!! I have in the last month just increased my water intake to 10 16oz bottles and it has helped in so many way. My skin, hair, mood, and weight lose. I had to start drinking it with those water enhancers at first, then went to just adding lemon and some sweet'n'low, to just lemon, and finally now I can drink just plain water. Enjoyed this post, looking forward to more!
ReplyDeleteI want everybody to understand that water makes up 75 percent of our bodies meaning without water our body won't function the way it suppose to
